AECP For the Guys

Hello! Today we’re looking at cards for the guys in our life. This is part of my journey to the Altenew Education Certification Program completion. Let’s face it, making cards for guys can be difficult. As card makers, we want to add pretty stuff to our cards and most guys aren’t going to be fans of glittery stuff.

Cards for the guys

I decided to make a clean and simple card for this lesson. Most of the time when I’m making a card for a guy, I like to know something personal about the man so I can personalize the card to them. But sometimes that’s just not possible so I made a card using neutral colors and a geometric pattern.

A geometric pattern is easy to do with the Sohcahtoa stamp set. There are several triangle stamps from solids to outlines.

I didn’t leave the card completely without shine. I embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder. In person, it really pops because of the embossing.
