The Stockings Were Hung
Hey! Today we’re creating a fun Christmas card using two stamp set from two different companies. I love combining my stash to come up with beautiful cards. We’re making a fireplace and mantel with stockings hung just waiting on Santa.
Watch this video to see it all come together. There’s no much voice over because of serious wind, the neighbor’s dog barking, and a fussy kitty in my house. The products used for this card are linked at the bottom of this post.
I used a Post-it note to create the square place for my fire place. I stamped with Altenew inks using the Birch Impression stamp set to create the log wall. Don’t worry too much about aligning everything perfectly. I used a Copic marker to even everything out and with all the other elements on the card, nobody will notice anyway.
Next, I drew in the fire and the hearth of the fireplace with Copics. Again don’t worry too much with the details because we’re just creating the idea of the fireplace and wall.
Then, I stamped all of the stockings, mantel, and other things on white cardstock using Maker Forte’s Eclipse Black ink. I used red and pool colors for the stockings and other elements except for the wreath. I used greens for that.
The die cut sentiment is cut from black cardstock with gold mirror on the top. I used foam tape behind the mantel and the stockings. All of the other elements are glued flat down to the panel.
Finally, I white heat embossed another sentiment on the bottom part of the card. I hope you enjoyed this fun Christmas card.
