Okay we’re flipping the design of yesterday’s card and creating another Father’s Day card. We’re sticking with the same card sketch but using it a little differently. I also changed up the color combinations.

Card Sketch & Color Combs

Yesterday’s card with the bow-ties pretty much followed the card sketch. We’re flipping it around today.

The Best Hero Father’s Day Card

First, I stenciled the background directly on the card base. I used Distressed Oxide Ink and the first color I used was way to light so I went darker with Gathered Twigs.

Next, I stamped the Happy Father’s Day sentiments down the left side of the card base. I aligned each strip in my Mini MISTI and stamped all of them at once. It didn’t go all the way down so I had to shift the cardstock up and stamp the rest.

Next, I set up the circle stamp in my MISTI Mini. The circle stamps are separate which allowed me to stamp each in different oranges. The sentiment is the darkest color.

I die-cut each of the circles with a circle die. Finally I added foam tape to the back of the circles and arranged them towards the bottom left of the card front. I allowed some of the circle parts to hang off the edge. I trimmed the hanging off parts with my scissors. And that’s it. So easy!
