Today we’re making two cards using one die! We’re using the Full of Joy die and stamp set from Concord & 9th to create two ink blending cards that simple and fun.

Watch the video below to see how these cards come together. All of the products used to create these cards are linked at the bottom of this post.

.

First, we’ll create our backgrounds. I started in the middle with my darkest ink color. I’m using Distress Oxide inks to get that soft velvety look but you can use whatever inks you like. Then, I used the next darkest color and on the outer edges of the panel is the lightest color.

I blended the colors of each other and went between the colors several times to get a smooth blend. Don’t judge the background too harshly if it’s not exactly what you want. It’ll be beautiful when it’s finished.

I did this for both cards but my purple ended up a little different because I had an over saturated ink pad. But I went with what I had and it still turned out beautiful.

Next, on the blue background I used white embossing paste with a snowflake stencil. Then, I sprinkled glittery embossing powder over it. I used my heat tool to melt it into the embossing paste.

For the purple background, I used the same stencil but I used shimmer spray and Distress Stain Spray in Picket Fence to create on it.

I love this die because you get two large “joy” sentiments for one. The inside of the letters are letters too. I die cut it twice so I could stack them up.

On the outline die I covered it in glitter brush markers and then a coating of Glossy Accents. The additional sentiments are stamped along the bottom edge of the die in black ink.

I die cut two additional banners from the die set and stamped two coordinating sentiments. Then, I popped those up using some foam tape. As a final touch I added some Nuvo drops around the background.

I hope you enjoyed these cards and I’d love to see what you can create using the Full of Joy stamp and die set.
