How-to Create a Popped-up Border
Today we’re creating a card using a super popular design. The popped up border is simple and creates an amazing card. The best thing about this technique is you can use so many different kinds of stamps to create this design.
Watch this video to see how easy this card is to create. The products used for this card are linked at the bottom of this post.
First, I stamped all of the solid images in a rainbow of colors. I used the coordinating dies to cut all of the images.
Then, I stamped the sentiment in the center of a panel of cardstock. I used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder.
Next, I arranged the images around the outside of the card panel without any adhesive. To hold all of the pieces in place, use Cling Wrap PressNSeal. It’s just tacky enough to hold all of the pieces without ripping the paper.
After the pieces are picked up with the Cling Wrap, I added foam tape to the pieces. Then, I used the Cling Wrap to pick up everything and adhere it to the panel.
Finally, I added Nuvo Drops in various colors around the entire card.
Here’s another option for this technique. You can switch it up with the border along the top or along a side.
