AECP Seasonal Scene Building
Today, I’m sharing a simple scene card for the Altenew Education Certification Program lesson Seasonal Scene Building. The lesson is all about how to create scenes with or without masking. I have the Birch Impressions stamp and die set and thought that it would make a really cool scene card.
The first thing I did was to stamp the two solid tree trunks in various angles in light grey ink on lighter grey cardstock. I didn’t worry about the stamped image to be perfect. Remember Altenew new inks will soften as it dries so if you want it a little bolder either stamp the image twice or use a little bit darker ink.
Next, I stamped all of the layers of the tree trucks ink grey inks. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut out the trees.
I wanted the die cut tree trunks to look like they are part of the same forest of trees but out in front of the background. To create that feeling I popped up the tree trunks using foam tape.
Next, I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock in white heat embossing. I made sure it would span between two of the die cut trees. Be sure to use foam tape behind the center part of the sentiment too so it doesn’t get smooshed down in the mail.
For a final touch, I stamped the hearts in the stamp set in a bold red and die cut them out. I put glitter brush pen on the largest heart and a coat of Glossy Accents.
I hope you give simple scene building a try.
