Departure Part II – Pink and Main Congrats
Pink and Main Congrats stamp and die set is perfect for congratulating a co-worker for a new job. This card is bright, colorful and uses water to stamp with instead of ink! I love this technique. It’s like doing magic.
Pink and Main Congrats
To start, I ink blended Salty Ocean, Worn Lipstick, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink using a Mini Ink Blending Tool onto a 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ Neenah Solar White 80lb panel. Then, I used a beautiful mandala stamp by Simon Says Stamp to create the background image. Just lay your stamp down on a flat surface, stamp side facing up. Then, mist the stamp very, very lightly with water. Place your ink blended card panel on top of the stamp to create the stamped image. Don’t take your stamp to the paper or the water will drip. Leave the panel on the stamp for a few moments then lift the cardstock panel off the stamp. Use a heat tool to dry the panel and watch the magic happen.
Next, I die cut the shadow die of the Congrats by Pink and Main out of black cardstock. I die cut the word Congrats three times out of white cardstock. to adhere all of the layers together, I used Zig Two-Way Glue pen. I like that it’s permanent but allows for enough time to align the die cuts perfectly.
The Pink and Main Congrats coordinating stamp set are so perfect for these cards! I put ‘on your’ and ‘new job’ together in my Misti on the bottom edge to line it up. I used my antistatic powder tool on black cardstock to keep stray embossing powder from sticking where it isn’t wanted. Then, I used Versamark ink to stamp the words and covered the stamped images with white embossing powder. I used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder until it was nice and smooth.
Lastly, I adhered the cardstock panel to a white card base, the congrats die cut to the cardstock panel and the sentiment strip too. The last touches were Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops and Clear Wink of Stella.
