Hello! Today we’re making a quick and sweet Valentine’s Day card using a digi stamp from the shop. I created a sweet sucker image and a sentiment to go with it, “I’m a sucker for you.” The SVG is also part of the package so you can create an adorable card.

Watch this quick video and see how this card came together. All of the products are listed at the bottom of the post.

Before we get started on the card, I’d like to point out that I use Silhouette Cameo but you can do the same things in Cricut Design Space as a Print and Cut file.

First, I printed my sucker digi stamp from the Silhouette Studio program with the registration marks turned on. Registration marks allow the cutting machine to know where to cut on the paper as the image is put through the machine.

I colored the sucker in reds with Copic markers. You can see there appears to be striations in the sucker. I colored the edges of the sucker image the darkest colors. I used flicking strokes to create the feathered striped look.

For the lightest part of the image I colored from the white empty colored cardstock back into the darker reds. Then, using a super light red (R0000) I flicked lines randomly to the center. The important part of this is to follow the shape of the sucker. The much lighter color acts as an eraser of sorts for the much darker colors.

Next, I put the cardstock on a cutting mat and ran it through my Cameo. This cut out my images perfectly including the fun sentiment.

Then, I grabbed a patterned paper pad (I think it’s from Queen & Co.) and used a scalloped frame die from Lawn Fawn to create the fun background.

I glued down the full piece of patterned paper to a top folding notecard. Then I glued the frame on, being sure to scoot it to the edges and keep it square. The sucker and the sentiment are also glued down.

For the finishing touch I added Glossy White Nuvo drops around the card. I hope you enjoyed this super fun card and grab your digi stamp and SVG file.
