Simple Valentine's Day Cards

These two cards use mostly the same supplies but with very different looks. Yes, I know it’s supposed to “XOXO” but I added the panel upside down and just went with it anyway. LOL!

For both cards, I double stamped each time I stamped the large XOXO stamp. I used a MISTI to align my stamp where I wanted it on my panel for both cards too.

I stamped the panel straight down then trimmed it down to just the width of the sentiment. It’s popped up with foam tape on red cardstock. The sentiment is black embossing from a stamp set I’ve had forever and don’t think I’ve used. I also pulled out a punch for the little heart.

I did a repeating pattern on the landscape card. I started by stamping it in the center but off to the right. I didn’t show that card in the video because it takes me a long time to do that kind of background with a stamping tool like a MISTI. I usually do those by hand with an acrylic block but I wanted to stamp the image twice.

I trimmed the panel down with a stitched rectangle die. The sentiment is stamped directly on the background and black embossed. I embossed it twice so that it was really raised and shiny.
