First, I cut the frame and the word ‘hello’ using my Silhouette Cameo 3. I used the font Comfortaa. I also created the super-thin frames (see above) and stacked three of them together for some deminsion. I cut the word from black cardstock and white cardstock. Then I stacked two black cardstock and one white. This creates an automatic shadow that makes the word pop off the page.
Next, I taped the heart stencil to the paper from the backside. I centered the heart so the right and left sides hung off the paper. I used Hero Arts Bubblegum Pink ink. The center of this stencil has the word love in it but I didn’t want to use that part so I was careful in the center. After I pulled the stencil from the paper I used the edge of the blending sponge to fill in the center. It looks like a hot mess until it’s finished. Remember this is usually the case. hahaha!
I stamped the sentiment in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink about three times to get it super-duper dark black. Then I trimmed down the piece using the MFT Stitched Rectangle Frame. Then, I added the ‘hello’ over the ‘sweetie’ and adhered the thin frame around the outside.
To give the panel some additional stability I added a piece of foam behind the panel and adhered it to the top folding card base.
For the final touch, I added some iridescent gems and a spray of Perfect Pearls.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Don’t forget to head over to The Hedgehog Hollow to get your December kit.
