Quick Galaxy Background Card
Galaxy backgrounds are really easy to create and always look a hot mess until they are finished. I really like using Distress Oxide inks for this because they blend so easy but you can use dye inks too.
Start by ink blending bright colors on the white panel. Be sure you put plenty of ink on the paper. No white should be showing through. Stick with around three bright colors to keep it simple.
Next, ink blend black over the entire card panel. Blend the black right over those bright colors. I like to go back and add a little bit of my bright colors again just to make them show up a little more.
Now comes the super fun part. SPLATTERS! I used white, black, and sparkles for my splatters. The white is Copic Opaque but white acrylic paint will work too, just add a bit of water to thin it out. The black is liquid watercolor. If you don’t have spray sparkles, then you can use water and Perfect Pearls.
I hope you enjoyed this fun card and give galaxy backgrounds a try.
