Hey! I’m seriously ready for fall and the weather the past few days in my area has been so mild that it’s put me more in the mood for hoodies, pumpkins, and changing leaves. Today we’re making a super cute card using the Nested Diamonds SVG available in the shop, along with some stamps, dies, and stencils.
I cut the diamonds from black cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. I recommend when cutting things with sharp corners, that you turn on the overcut feature and you cut it twice. This particular cardstock is pretty thick and really dense so I cut it three times to be safe.
For the background, I ink blended blue ink using a cloud stencil and then just added dark green to the bottom. It didn’t need any detail because most of it is covered up. I just wanted a hint of ground there.
I stamped, colored, and die cut my images. The diamonds are glued down to the background. The sentiment, two squirrels, acorn, and leaves are popped up with foam tape.
