This week we’re creating a bold slimline card prompted by this week’s color challenge at Make the Cards Challenge.

This entire card is made from white cardstock! Ok the sentiment isn’t but the rest is all white cardstock! All of the products used are linked at the bottom of this post.

First, I die cut three of all the flower parts and six leaves.

Then I used ink blending brushes to blend inks over each set of petals. The bottom layer is the darkest and the top is the lightest. The best part of doing it like this is you can have darker and lighter spots in the petals without any work at all.

For the leaves, I used one shade of green but went really heavy on the blending around the outer edge.

Next, I created the background by ink blending from the center towards the edge. I started with the lightest color in the middle. The edge wasn’t quite dark enough so I added a touch of black ink and then went back over it with the darkest shade of blue. Lastly for the background panel, I splattered white and gold on it.

I die cut and inked the background layer for the sentiment and then die cut the sentiment twice from black cardstock.

Finally, I placed everything on the panel and glued everything in place. The sentiment is popped up with foam tape. And added gold pearls.

I hope you enjoyed this card and pop over to Make the Cards Challenge and join us.
