This week’s challenge at MTCC is a Theme + 1 Challenge. Use buffalo plaid and something you think means country life.

For me that is seeing deer in the fields in the mornings. It’s something that I grew up seeing almost everyday. I miss seeing it. I’ve living in a small city for so long, I miss slow country mornings.

Make the Cards Challenge #35

This card is super simple. First, I cut down some patterned paper to 3.75″ x 8.50″. Then I used my antistatic powder tool all over it.

I used a stamping tool like a MISTI or Stampuratus to stamp the image from Maker Forte in Versamark ink. Next, I coated the image in black embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool.

Finally I stamped a sentiment on kraft cardstock and popped it up with some foam tape.

I made this card for a guy friend that’s going through a rough time. He’s a outdoorsmen so he’ll appreciate the thought.

  1. Such a gorgeous CAS card, love the embossed image! Nothing says slow country mornings, like a cattle drive though! I always seem to hit those when I need to be somewhere and there is nothing but cows….who are certainly not in a hurry!
