Different Colors for Christmas Cards
Hi! Today we’re creating a simple Christmas card with a little bit different colors. I was totally inspired by a card I saw on social media yesterday. I love that you can be inspired to create a card just with color.
Watch this quick video to see how this card comes together. All of the products used are at the bottom of this post.
Want to see more color pallets for Christmas cards? How about ways to use your everyday stamps to create Christmas cards? Check out this post and video.
First, I stamped the image to color. Since I am using Copic markers the ink needed to be Copic safe. I used Maker Forte Eclipse Black ink but there are several options on the market for Copic coloring. I set the image aside to do the rest of the stamping and embossing.
Next, I stamped the background. The background is red cardstock with white heat embossing.
The border is a rectangle die with the center removed with a plain rectangle die.
Then, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on the oval.
All of the colors I used to for my Copic coloring are listed at the bottom of this post. After I colored the image I used the coordinating die to cut it out.
Finally, I put the card together. The frame sits on top of the background piece. It’s not around it. The oval is popped up on some foam tape. And lastly the colored image is glued flat down to the oval.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Try a different color pallet for you Christmas cards this year.
