This week’s card making challenge at Make the Cards Challenge is a sketch challenge. It is presented as a slimline card but remember this is just an idea to get you started.

Come over and join in this week’s challenge!

This is a slimline embossing folder but I used it as a A2 size card. It’s a beautiful 3D folder and has a coordinating die to cut out of the embossed image. I cut out two of the branches and colored them with Copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettias stamp set and white heat embossed it on some kraft cardstock. Then I cut out the sentiment with a scalloped rectangle.

Then I added a strip of gold mirror cardstock to the edge of the embossed panel. The embossed panel is popped up with some foam tape.

The leaves of the colored branches are not glued down to give the card a little more dimension.

I hope you enjoyed this simple Christmas card. Don’t forget to join in the card making challenge!
