Copic Coloring: 2 Cute Ink Scarecrow Cat Digi Stamp
For the next three months, I have the honor of being a part of the 2 Cute Ink Design Team! It’s my very first DT and I’m super excited! My very first card for 2 Cute Ink is this adorable Scarecrow Cat! I love the clean lines of Heidi’s digital stamps. It makes creating a real joy!
I actually had some trouble with the coloring with this card. Not because of the image but my Copics wanted to bleed all over the place for some reason. I used E99, E97, E95, and E93 to color my kitty and those colors just ran everywhere. I thought I was going to have to start all over BUT never give up! So here are some tips to clean up your Copic coloring disasters.
Copic Coloring: 2 Cute Ink Scarecrow Cat Digi Stamp
- Use your colorless blender to push the color back to where it should be. Colorless blender doesn’t really erase the color, it more like moves to a different spot.
- Let the paper dry completely before trying to correct any mistakes. Sometimes adding colorless blender to already bleeding colors can make things worse.
- Use a white gel pen over the bleed if it’s on the outside of the stamp lines. Don’t use white gen pen anywhere you are going to continue to color. Don’t color over white gen with a Copic marker. It can and probably will ruin your nibs.
- A Mono Sand Eraser can help with bigger mistakes. Just make sure the paper is 100% dry!
- ALWAYS finish the piece!!! Even if you hate it halfway through, just finish it. It might just be one of your favorite pieces!
