The deadline to enter is April 24th and winners will be announced April 27th. Now let’s check out some inspiring cards!

Note: All products used are listed at the bottom of this post.

Smile In Contrast Card

Smile card using Pink and Main stamps and die. The background image is from The Hedghog Hollow.

I started this card by creating the background panel. I stamped the floral boarder image in Distress Embossing Ink and used Broken China Distress Glaze to emboss the image. I squared up the image inside of the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Stitched Rectangle frame.

Then I die cute the sentiment from the Smile Pink and Main die and stacked up three of them. I die cute the shadow in a contrasting color. I added the rest of the sentiment and popped it up with foam tape.

Finally, I adhered everything to a grey card base and add some contrasting sequins. Also, as a finishing touch I added Glitter Brush Marker to the entire smile sentiment and then a coat of Glossy Accents.

Mom Heart Card

Mom would love this card using stamps from The Hedgehog Hollow

To be honest, this card didn’t start out like this. This card is the restamp of Alcohol Lift ink. I really love this heart image and wanted to use it as the negative space on an alcohol inked panel but that didn’t go as planned. The image was just a little to delicate to look nice on a bold background of teal, pink, and purple alcohol inks.

But I didn’t let it go to waste. I stamped the image off on regular Neenah Solar White and trimmed off one side of the panel. Then I stamped the “mom” sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and used clear embossing powder over it.

I added a black cardstock panel behind the stamped panel and popped it up with some foam tape panels. As a finishing touch I added Nuvo Dream Drops around the sentiment and down the side of the heart.

Stars Card

Without dark we'd never see the stars using stencil and stamps from The Hedgehog Hollow

I love making cards with black. I think we sometimes forget how powerful the color can be without being negative. Think about the message of this card “Without the dark we’d never see the stars.” How true is that?

This card uses a bunch of techniques. The bright silver lines of stars and the clusters of stars are from a stencil by The Hedgehog Hollow. For the bright silver stars I used a small sponge dauber to apply Versamark Ink. Then I added a sticky embossing powder and heat set it. The embossing powder is sticky enough to add either Deco Foil or Nuvo Gilding Flakes. I added Gilding Flakes in silver.

The darker lines of stars are Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

I then stamped large star images and tiny star images on the panel. I used clear embossing powder and Satin Pearl embossing powder.

I popped the entire panel up using foam tape and added a strip of silver glitter paper to the edge.

Hugs and Heart Card

Heart stamp by The Hedgehog Hollow and the die cut sentiment is my own.

This heart image is just so pretty I had to use it again. I stamped it clear Versamark Ink and used black embossing powder. The key to that is to use anti-static powder tool over the entire surface of the card panel.

I trimmed off some of the card panel on both sides then adhered it flat to a top folding notecard. The hugs sentiment is my own design and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. I added Ivory Nuvo Drops across the front of the card for some additional shine.

I hope you enjoyed these cards today! And the rest of the hop! Don’t forget to leave a comment below.
