Simple Copic Coloring Method
Howdy friends! Today’s Christmas card is a fun one. We’re learning a simple Copic coloring method. It’s an easy way to still color on your Christmas cards but not spend a huge amount of time doing it.
Watch this quick video to how to do this simple Copic coloring. The products used for this card are linked at the bottom of this post.
First, you don’t have to use Copic markers for this particular method but I do recommend an alcohol based marker. Water based markers will leave brush marks and you want a smooth and even finish.
You’ll need two markers for each color you want to use. I like to use a lighter mid-tone and a really dark color.
Fill in the entire area with your lighter color. Then draw a line of the dark color where you want the shadow to be. And also along one side of the entire image. Look at the tree in the image below.
Don’t blend the colors. There’s no blending in this method. We’re just creating the difference in a light and dark.
Personally, I think this looks super cute on these more cartoon like stamp sets. Try it on different stamps and see which one you like.
This is such a fun and simple Copic coloring method. Give it try for your Christmas cards.
