Rainbow Wreath Card with Distress Oxide Inks
Hello! Today we are creating a simple rainbow wreath card with Distress Oxide Inks! I have had this card in my head for some time now and came out even better than I imagined it. I just love it when that happens!
Be sure to watch the video for a few tips that aren’t included below and an announcement about something coming up pretty quickly!
Rainbow Wreath Card with Distress Oxide Inks
I wanted a really bright wreath in rainbow colors. I also didn’t want the ink to get darker if I stamped it more than once. This is why I used Distress Oxide Inks. The pigment quality means the ink is opaque so the stamped image gets more solid with subsequent stampings.
I applied the ink to the stamp using finger sponge daubers. This allowed me to determine how much ink to put on the stamp and to blend between each color. I was also able to go back after the first stamping to add more color as needed.
For the sentiment I stacked a ‘hugs’ sentiment in black cardstock and stamped the word ‘big’ right above ‘hugs’. I added a MASSIVE amount of Glitter Brush Marker to the top of the die cut sentiment and then a thick coat of Glossy Accents.
As a final touch I added Nuvo Jewel Drops in the rainbow of colors. I didn’t have the drops in a teal color however the way I added them you can’t tell they are the same color as the blue ones. Pretty cool right?!
