MTCC 17 – Turnabout Hello Friend
Hello! Today, I’m making a simple card using a Turnabout stamp. If you’ve never used a Turnabout stamp by Concord & 9th…you should! These stamps make creating a cute card quick and easy.
The colors we’re using today are from the color challenge this week at Make the Cards Challenge.
When I use a Turnabout stamp I start with a 6×6 inch piece of cardstock to stamp on. It’s just easier and I can use the scrap for another card. I used my Stamparatus to make this particular card however a MISTI or another kind of stamping platform will work too. (These kinds of stamps do require a stamping platform.)
I stamped the first color, cleaned the stamp, and then turned the paper a quarter of a turn. This process gets repeated as many times as you want to complete the pattern.
After I finished stamping the pattern, I trimmed down the panel and mounted it on a piece of coordinating cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Turnabout set too. I stacked the sentiments and stamped them in black pigment ink. I wanted the sentiment to really stand out so I embossed it using black embossing powder. I trimmed the rectangle out and then matted it coordinating cardstock too. I popped it up using foam tape.
To finish off this simple card I added some dots of Glossy Accents in two corners.
