I decided to do layers, eyelets and ribbon. First, I stamped the large sentiment hello down the center of a white panel of cardstock in black ink.
Then, I used the solid stamp to fill in the center image with purple ink.
Next, I used stitched rectangle frames to trim down the white panel and then black cardstock and a rainbow patterned paper. When I trimmed down the white stamped panel, I offset it from the center a little bit so that I could add some eyelets and run some twine through it for a cute bow.
Finally, I popped up the white panel with foam tape on the black cardstock panel. The black panel is glued down to the rainbow panel.
I hope you pull out some of those items in your crafty stash and dust off those old school skills. Come over and join the fun at Make the Cards Challenge for this week’s challenge!
Hello to you my friend! Love this card. Love the bright background! T
Thank you!
Love the vibrant colors! Your large twine bow totally makes the card!
I struggle with bows so thank you!
Fantastic card, that background paper is great, and love that “old school” twine with the eyelets!
Thank you!
This is awesome Jill. I didn’t like eyelets years ago (and I still don’t) lol. Too noise to position them lol. I remember going to an overnight crop one time and OMG … everyone was using eyelet setters (you know the pad & hammer) … good grief, you couldn’t hear yourself think! LOL
Anyways … this is an awesome design … fabulous inspiration … thanks!
I use a Crop-a-Dile II to set eyelets. There’s very little noise involved. It does the hole punch and sets the eyelets. It’s a big ol’ thing but man I have used it a lot lately! LOL!
