Hello! We are creating a card for the Make the Cards Challenge today and it’s a color challenge. The colors are my all time favorite…PURPLE! Yay! Here is the prompt for this week.

Watch the video to see how this card comes together. The products I used are linked at the bottom of this post.

Challenge 2 Color Purple

I love purple! My hair is even purple and I love it. Grandma even has come around to it. Anywho let’s jump into this card.

Now this is a really simple card to put together. The layers are easy to line up and aren’t too fussy. First, I stamped the outline in the darkest of my purple inks for the flowers. I stamped the most solid layer next in the next to lightest purple, Purisan Purple.

I didn’t use the lightest purple, Soft Lavender, for the flowers. Instead, I stamped the background in the lightest purple. The solid white background was just slightly too striking with these bold purples.

For the detail layer, I used the next to the darkest color, Mardi Gras. The center of the flowers are Pursian Purple stamped several times.

The leaves are a pretty cream color but I used the darkest purple for the outline.

The sentiment is stamped on black cardstock with white embossing and cut down in a thin strip.

I layered all of the elements in the bottom right corner and glued the flowers and leaves down flat. I used some foam tape to pop-up the sentiment.

As a final touch I added Nuvo Glitter Drops in a pretty purple.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card! Be sure to head over to the Make the Cards Challenge and join in the fun!
