Layered Dad Slimline Card
Hello! Today is the last of the Father’s Day cards I’m sharing during this 30 days of cards session. And I have a layered dad sentiment SVG cut file for you! I put it on a slimline card so I could get a massive impact and it worked. It’s pretty amazing if I do say so myself.
Be sure to watch the video for ideas on how to use the layered dad sentiment SVG on other sides of cards.
Layered Dad Slimline Card
First things first. I cut the card base from kraft cardstock. For slimline cards, I use the measurements 9″x 4 1/4″. I cut each layer of the layered dad sentiment from different colors of green with some navy cardstock and white cardstock thrown in.
I glued each layered centered on the one below it. I wanted to add a little texture to the background so I used a buffalo plaid stamp and Distress Embossing Glaze.
If you really pay attention you’ll notice the pattern of the plaid doesn’t match up. But that’s okay. I didn’t align the edge of the stamp to match where the other one stopped. Oops! But I covered most of with the layered dad sentiment.
Next, I glued the layered sentiment directly to the card front. This sentiment is so large that it’s perfect for using with stamped sentiments. I used a square sentiment to finish off the feel for the card.
To finish this card, I added glossy white Nuvo Drops all across the front of the card.
I hope you enjoyed this card and don’t forget to get your FREE SVG File.
