It’s a Snowflake Christmas with Concord and 9th
I love the snow! I know I’m weird. Snow blankets everything and makes it quiet and sparkly. There’s just something so peaceful about it. These are the perfect cards to share with your friends for any reason in the winter months. Snowflake cards can also be the perfect cards to share with non-religious friends during the holiday seasons.
Snowflake Cards
I am using non-traditional colors for all of the cards: blues, greys, tans, and teals.
Tip: Some of your images can “hang” off the edge of a card. It makes the design look more organic. It also gives a totally different look than just having that main image in the middle of the card.
The first snowflake card is a slimline card (8.5″ x 3.5″). I stamped and embossed the large snowflake then die-cut it three times. Then, I placed each snowflake where I wanted it on the navy panel and trimmed off the extra. I used the extra pieces to place around the edges to fill in the gaps.
The sentiment is stamped in navy ink on white cardstock. And added Glossy Accents around the snowflakes.
The next card is a square 5″ x 5″ card. I cut down a white cardstock panel to 4″ x 4″ and stamped in four different shades of blue ink using the Snowflake Turnabout stamp. The Turnabout stamps create beautiful cards quickly. Then, I white heat embossed the sentiment on kraft cardstock. To add a little touch of sparkle, I dotted some of the snowflakes with Stickles.
Next, this card is super simple and makes a perfect note for anyone. Just white heat emboss a sentiment with a few snowflakes and then trim down. Of course you can dress this card up as much as you want or leave it for a quick note.
The next card is a little bit of a step up from the previous card. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in the center part of the card. Then I stamped all of the snowflakes around the sentiment. Stamp some of the snowflakes off the edge of the paper for that more organic look.
The final card is just a little bit different. I used the large snowflakes as sides of the card with a simple sentiment.
I hope these simple cards give you plenty of ideas for cards this coming holiday or snowy season.
