Fun Fold Card – Gate Fold Cards
Good day to you! I get tired of saying hello so I tried something different there. Anyway, we are making Gate Fold Cards today.
These kinds of cards are called Fun Fold or Fancy Fold cards. There are tons of them and this is the first in a series of Fun Fold Cards that I’m doing. Each blog post will have the examples and brief explanation. I’ll also offer written instructions and mini courses for each kind of Fun Fold Card that will have at least two examples.

Gate Fold Cards are basically two card bases glued together with their fronts folded back on themselves. You can make a Gate Fold Card from any size card. You can also, decorate them in so many ways.
For the basic example, I created a Harry Potter inspired card. I left it blank for sentiments but it’ll be a birthday announcement in the Daily Prophet. The full video is in the Mini Course along with the measurements for the panels.
Another kind of Gate Fold Card is a hidden fold on one side. The front of the card has an opening cut in it so an element can fill it and show through. The fold out is hidden by the front of the card. The full video is in the FREE Mini Course.
