Copic Coloring – Curly Hair

Hey hey! Today we are learning how to Copic color curly hair. We’ll be using a stamp from The Greeting Farm. And just a few colors for the hair. Our finished card is simple because we’re focusing on the process for coloring the hair.

The technique we are using is the tiny flick using a brush tip for our Copic Sketch or Caio markers.

Flick the darkest two colors (B66 and V17) from the outer edge of the towards the center of each section of hair. Vary the length of the flicks just a little bit and the space between the strokes.

Then flick the next color (V15) from the outer edge more towards the center to cover more of the white but not all of it.

Finally, blend everything with the last color (B63).

To finish this card, I used my Pixscan mat to cut out the stamped image. Then, I used an embossing folder to create some texture in the background and stamped a sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing.
