Hello! Today we are doing a new to me technique. We are using a gel press plate to create some backgrounds for our cards. These are beach themed cards for this week’s Make the Cards Challenge.

Showing how to use a gel press plate is much easier than to write about it I’ve come to find out. A gel plate is a piece of squishy gel (that smells really good) that holds its shape. It has a surface that holds inks and paints really well and allows you to layer paint and ink without bulk. It’s so much fun.
