I’m so late with this post. Some weeks I just fail at life and this was one of those weeks. But it’s okay I still have this amazing card to share with you for the Aud Sentiment Challenge this week. I’m using an image provided by The Paper Shelter. This image is Autumn Enchantment and she is adorable!

Handmade card using digi stamp from The Paper Shelter.

I actually used colored pencil this time instead of Copic markers. I haven’t colored with these pencils much. I’m not great with pencil because I don’t color in this medium much. The pencils I used are by Faber-Castell. These are pricy pencils for someone (like me) that doesn’t color in pencil all that often. And honestly, I like my Prismacolor Pencils better. They are a little creamier than these.

I printed the image out in Silhouette Studio so I could cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo. The diecut in the background is from the Amazing Paper Grace collection from Spellbinders. I cut it out three times and embossed the topmost diecut. Then I very light ran a gold pigment ink pad over the embossed part to give it a touch of gold.

The sentiment is gold foiled using the Glimmer Hot Foil System and the Everyday Sentiments II set from Spellbinders. Don’t forget that you cannot use Deco Foil for heat foiling. It will not work. Trust me I tried about 5 times wondering why I couldn’t get the foil to stick to my paper. And then I remember the piece of foil in my hand was Deco foil and not Glimmer foil. Oops!

The card base and the sentiment strip are from the same chocolate cardstock. And the patterned paper matches it perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this card and please feel free to leave me a comment below.
