Hey hey! I’m stepping way outside of my comfort zone for this week’s Make the Cards Challenge. It’s to use the shape circles. I tend to stick with squares and rectangles so I was happy to stretch my skills and style to make this beautiful card.

Watch the video below to see how I created this card. All of the products used are linked at the bottom of this post.

Circle Card

First, I made a circle card base in Silhouette Studio. I cut the card base out of white cardstock and ink blended Worn Lipstick around the edges of the paper. When I first thought about this card I wanted it to be all white however I didn’t like the look of it because you couldn’t see all the details of the layers.

Next, I die cut three other layers from a fancy Spellbinders Nestabilities set. I added ink blending to the edges of each of the layers so they would stand out just slightly to see all the beautiful details.

I stamped a bunch of images from the Botanical Gardens stamp set. I don’t have the matching dies so I used my Silhouette Cameo’s PixScan mat to cut out each image. I used Copics to color each image.

Then, I layered the images so they over hang the edge of the card. The skinny twine is from Stampin’ Up! from years ago. I just wrapped it around my fingers a bunch then tied in the middle to create a bow and glued to the card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment in bold black ink and added Nuvo Glitter drops around the card and coated all of the flowers in Nuvo Shimmer Brush Pen.

I hope you enjoyed this card. Head over to the Make the Cards Challenge to join in the fun.
