It’s the first Christmas in July post! YAY!! And it’s five clean and simple Christmas cards. What makes these cards even better is I used minimal supplies. I used several different stamp sets to give you a good variety.

5 Clean and Simple Christmas Cards

I’m pretty sure Christmas cards are the most mass-produced cards by cardmakers. I wanted to make that project a little bit easier. I give some ideas in the video to add some sparkle to each card too.

Clean and simple cards are still totally stunning. The secret is using a simple color pallet, subtle texture, and bold images. I’m not going to provide too much detail because these cards are pretty straight forward.

I used a large “Merry Christmas” sentiment stamped in a bright red ink. I stamped this twice in my Mini MISTI. Then I stamped the same image in the same place in Versamark ink and used clear embossing powder to add shine to it. Then, I let the image cool just a moment and stamped it again in Versamark ink and embossed it in clear embossing powder again.

I repeated the same process for the green ornament. You can see in the image on the right how the ornament is raised slightly. The sentiment is exactly the same.

The next card I stamped the sentiment in red and two branches in green. I didn’t place the one branch in close enough so I stamped and embossed a diamond. Easily fixed. Then I die-cut that panel and a kraft panel to glue onto the front of an A2 top folding notecard.

Do you like my Christmas tree shape here? I stamped the sentiment in green then added the bow and trunk in red. This card can be spruced up with some sequence, jewels, or Nuvo drops around the edges of the sentiment. But that’s something for you to decide. 🙂

Next, this card is a little bit of a graphic card. A turnabout stamp makes quick work for a background. I stamped the sentiment in black ink and then used clear embossing powder over it. I cut each of the words out and made them into little labels. I popped them up on some foam tape.

For the last card I stamped and heat embossed a boarder image on the right side of the card panel. Then I stamped the sentiment in red and green inks. I think a patterned paper or a background stamp and a popped up panel would look great with this card design.
